Tracy Ayling KC and Thomas Daniel prosecute “Three Musketeers” murder trial

Tracy Ayling KC and Thomas Daniel, instructed by Andrew Young of the CPS Complex Case Unit, prosecuted three men for killing a man in Chelmsford.

The deceased was stabbed to death in October 2024. The case involved a ‘man hunt’ and detailed investigation by Essex Police’s Major Investigation Team.  

The court heard the defendants referred to themselves as “The Three Musketeers” and that the killing was in revenge for an earlier incident between the parties. 

Following a four-week trial, the first defendant was convicted of murder and the other two defendants were convicted of manslaughter.
