Lauren Bates-Brownsword’s client acquitted in sexual assault trial

Lauren Bates-Brownsword instructed by Sam Nundy of Levy & Co Solicitors, successfully represented a client at Chelmsford Crown Court facing an allegation of sexual assault.
The Crown alleged that Lauren’s client, in his role as a fairground ride operator, had sexually assaulted a customer. The incident was captured on CCTV footage relied upon by the prosecution.
Lauren’s client had worked at the fairground for over 25 years without incident and had no previous convictions.
Following a three-day trial, the jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict in under an hour.
