Ellie has a busy practice prosecuting and defending in the Crown, Magistrates’ and Youth Courts. She has experience in dealing with a wide range of criminal offences including cases involving violence, offensive weapons, drugs, theft, robbery, burglary, fraud, domestic abuse, sexual offences and road traffic offences on both a publicly and privately funded basis.
Alongside her criminal work, Ellie is building a regulatory practice and has experience in dealing with quasi-criminal matters. She is frequently instructed by Transport for London in Taxi Licensing Appeals. She has experience in dealing with stalking protection orders, sexual risk orders, criminal behaviour orders and football banning orders.
Before coming to the Bar, Ellie has worked as a criminal defence paralegal for leading firms of solicitors. She also worked as an Appropriate Adult assisting Dorset Police and for a domestic violence charity. Ellie worked as a paralegal for one of London’s leading firms of solicitors on both the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry and the Undercover Policing Inquiry.
