Austin Stoton, instructed by Tommy Polycarpou of Faradays Solicitors, represented OV, a youth who was indicted contrary to s.46 SCA 2007, with incitement (of four principals) to murder.
In a legally complex and lengthy trial at the Central Criminal Court, much of the evidence of the north London location was on CCTV. OV was seen to be constantly in the presence of the shooters in the weeks, days, and hours leading up to the offence. He was present when the would-be assassins loaded the weapon into one of the cars used in the shooting and present in the one and a half hour briefing prior to the cars leaving to carry out the shooting. There was phone contact between OV and the shooters both immediately before and shortly after the shooting.
The jury returned a unanimous acquittal of OV.
