Austin Stoton secures acquittal in serious drugs case

Austin Stoton, leading Manveer Cheema instructed by Tony Mordi of Mordi & CO, represented DM an Albanian National who was indicted with drug offences with a complex extra jurisdictional dimension. DM was arrested in possession of 12 kg of Heroin, he absented himself from trial. Following an eight week trial which incorporated legal argument on CHIS, informants, PII, disclosure, abuse, communications, evidential contamination, character, expert evidence and the attribution of digital devices the prosecution offered no evidence.
