Ashraf Khan appointed as Legal Adviser to the General Pharmaceutical Council’s (GPhC) Fitness to Practise Committee

Chambers is delighted to announce that Ashraf Khan has been appointed by the GPhC to act as an independent Legal Adviser in its fitness to practise proceedings before the Council’s Statutory Committees. Ashraf will play a critical role in ensuring decisions are made in accordance with the law and the GPhC’s Rules and guidance.

The General Pharmaceutical Council the statutory regulator for pharmacies, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Great Britain.  It’s role is to protect everyone who uses pharmacy services by setting standards for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies, and maintain a public register of those who meet its standards.

Ashraf will commence his appointment with immediate effect. He will undertake this role alongside his practice in Chambers and will continue to accept instructions throughout all his practice areas.
