Anand Beharrylal secures acquittal on assisting an offender charged with murder

Anand, instructed by Mrs Oya Suleyman of EBR Attridge Solicitors, defended the second defendant, who was alleged to have assisted the first defendant to leave the UK knowing he had committed murder. The second defendant was present when the fatal blow was struck.

In the early hours of the 4th June 2016 two men were involved in an altercation in Harlesden outside a shisha café. One of the men was left unconscious after being struck with a shopping trolley handle. He sustained a complex medical injury and later died. Both defendants denied the allegations. Following a three week trial at the Old Bailey they were both found not guilty.
