Anand was instructed in a land law appeal relating to adverse possession. The appellant and respondents were co-owners of freehold land with a building. The respondents claimed for sale and division of the proceeds and the appellant unsuccessfully counterclaimed at trial for adverse possession of part of the building. The appellant appealed arguing that the trial judge made errors in the facts found and inferences drawn. Anand led Zeik Ashraph and Abdel Ashraph in successfully arguing in its written case for the respondent that in light of the concurrent findings of facts by the courts below the appeal should be dismissed. They were instructed by Alvin Pariagsingh (Trinidad).
