Anand Beharrylal was instructed as junior counsel for the defence in this high profile cold case murder from 1982.

In 1982 a 17 year old girl was raped and murdered in her own home in north London. The case generated publicity at the time and over the years since. The police and media continued efforts to identify and apprehend a suspect. In December 2015 DNA analysis provided a missing link and a man was arrested. Anand was instructed at the earliest stages to undertake the necessary trial preparation and present an important initial legal argument concerning how the case ought to be tried.
