Alex Stein successful in first ever disciplinary proceedings brought under the Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme

Alex Stein, instructed by Jim Meyer of Egan Meyer, was successful in disciplinary proceedings in front of the Amusement Devices Safety Council (‘ADSC’).

Regulation of Inspection Bodies for Fairground Rides falls under the Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme (‘ADIPS’) which in turn is managed by the ADSC. On 14 May 2025, Alex Stein, acting on behalf of ADIPS, applied to the disciplinary panel of ADSC for the removal of David Geary from the ADIPS register of inspection bodies. This was the first application made by ADIPS under the scheme and follows the conviction of David Geary and his company DMG Ltd for health and safety offences in 2024.
