Acquittal in causing death by dangerous driving trial

Christopher Martin, instructed by Paul Reddy of Slater & Gordon, secured an acquittal for WC on 9th November 2016 on an indictment alleging Causing Death and Serious Injury by Dangerous Driving following a trial at Canterbury Crown Court. The allegation related to ‘street racing’ whereby the deceased collided with a third, uninvolved, vehicle. It was alleged that WC and the deceased drove at speeds exceeding 80mph and at more than twice the speed limit.
