Helen Jones, instructed by Laura Smith of Saunders Solicitors, acted for MA, who was jointly charged with throwing a corrosive fluid with intent to burn or cause grievous bodily harm under section 29 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. The Prosecution alleged that MA had organised an acid attack on a male known to her, with evidence from witnesses, CCTV and mobile phone data. Helen’s client was unanimously acquitted after an 8-day trial at Isleworth Crown Court in July 2016.
