2BR welcomes Catherine Farrelly KC and Louise Oakley KC to Chambers

2BR is delighted to welcome Catherine Farrelly KC as a new member of Chambers, and to welcome Louise Oakley KC back to Chambers.

Catherine took silk in 2024 and has quickly established herself as a leading criminal silk, prosecuting and defending, particularly in cases of sexual offences, homicide, and serious and organised crime.

Louise, who had previously been a member of Chambers when we were still at 2 Bedford Row, was appointed Senior Treasury Counsel in April 2024, and took silk in 2026.  Prior to taking silk, she won the award for ‘Crime Junior of the Year’ at the Chambers UK 2024 Bar Awards.  Louise has been long established as leading counsel in the most serious of homicide and serious crime cases.
