Rovers full-back Jack Doyle says he's thrilled to have been handed a new deal.

The 19 year old's put pen to paper on a new 2 and a half year deal.

He's vowing to continue to work hard as he aims to take his game to the next level.

He's been speaking to the club website:

“I’m delighted to get it signed,” said Doyle. “Hopefully I can kick on this year, I’ll just keep working hard and we’ll see where it takes me.

“It was a no-brainer. Once I heard that I was going to be offered a new contract, straight away I knew that I was going to grasp it with both hands.

“I’ve been here since the age of 10. I was on trial, I got signed, I kept going forward and I’ve never looked back. I’ve been here for the last 9-10 years and hopefully I’ll be here for many more.

“It’s a big part of my life. When you’ve been here for that many years, it’s like home and you just want to keep repaying the club for what they’ve done for you. I want to thank all of the Academy staff for everything they’ve done for me over the years and hopefully I can just keep moving forward.”
