Chair of the Olympic organising committee Lord Coe is to visit schools in the Ribble Valley later in the year.

After missing out as a venue for the Olympic torch relay, MP Nigel Evans requested he come to the borough to do a series of talks about the Games and what they mean.

It's believe they'll take place after the event this summer with Mr Evans calling for any schools wanting to take part to get in touch.
