Stretching our pockets further than we can manage - The Christmas season is a strain on most of us

But imagine not even being able to put a nappy on your baby.

2BR's Christmas Family appeal has launched to help struggling families throughout festive period.

We're looking for donations of toiletries, nappies, christmas treats and long-life food.

Mark Hirst is the director of Accrington based Community Soltions:

"Unfortunately there are people at this time of year that not only are not looking forward to a massive Christmas they are struggling with the basics. So every year we make up Christmas hampers that we deliver to people who are referred to us. So the appeal is brilliant because it means local people are really helping us by getting the things we need to put in the hampers".

Donations can be dropped off at various points across the area:
