The Mall Blackburn is packed with over 90 stores housing all your favourite high street retailers from top fashion names including River Island, Topshop and New Look to Debenhams department store which houses Oasis, Warehouse, Principles and Faith to name a few! What’s more all these stores are under one roof plus we have various eateries and a multi storey car park to make your shopping trip convenient, safe and easy!
The Mall Blackburn is also undergoing a huge re-development with an investment of £66m to make the centre bigger, brighter and offer a new mix of retailers for our shoppers! Major fashion retailer Primark have already signed up as anchors at the new scheme taking a massive 50,000 sq ft unit. They will be joined by Peacock’s another new retailer for the town and existing retailers WH Smith and New Look will both move to bigger stores within the new development. You can still shop as normal at The Mall Blackburn though as shopping is completely unaffected by the development with the construction area completely self contained.
Demolition of the old Lord Square shopping area is now complete and the site is being made ready for construction contractors who will be on site to start the build in June 2008! The rest of the shopping centre will also be extensively upgraded and refurbished with the entire scheme being ready in Spring 2010! The Mall Blackburn, shopping as it should be!
